Vacalians Group

“We would like to thank 21 Centrale Partners for their support over the years.”

CEO of Vacalians Group

Vacalians Group

Vacalians Group was born in 2012 out of the merger of Village Center and Vacances Directes, carried out by shareholders 21 Centrale Partners and the Ganivenq family. The Group has played an active part in the consolidation of a highly fragmented sector and rapidly established itself as a major player of the European outdoor accommodation market.

Under the ownership of 21 Centrale Partners, Vacalians Group has enjoyed strong revenue growth while expanding its destinations offering, broadening its customer base and pursuing its international expansion. The acquisition of Canvas Holidays, a significant player of the outdoor accommodation market in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe, was completed in December 2014.
Vacalians was exited in July 2015 through a sale to Permira.

Vacalians proactively addressed environmental awareness

As part of its efforts to sensitize both employees and guests to environmental issues, Vacalians appointed a manager specifically responsible for the implementation and monitoring of ESG initiatives. Reduction of energy and waste consumption has notably been enhanced by the installation of daily meter readers to detect leaks. Additionally, Vacalians now offers guests sustainability workshops as part of its activities program, thus promoting awareness and understanding. The company has been awarded several international environmental quality certifications for tourist accommodations.
