Edukea completes two acquisitions

Less than a year after opening its capital to 21 Invest France, the Edukea group is strengthening two of its three training pillars, namely animal osteopathy and naturopathy.

Edukea is a major player in private training for natural health and well-being. The group aims to train professionals and practitioners in three main areas; human osteopathy, animal osteopathy and naturopathy, so far supported by three schools:

• ESO: pioneer school for osteopathy training in France, founded in 1991;
• IFOA: school dedicated to animal osteopathy, present in France, Spain and Belgium;
• And ESNAT: school dedicated to naturopathy, based in France.

The two new acquisitions completed in March and June 2022 reinforce the last two practices. Each school meets the most demanding training criteria in its field and offers hybrid training to offer students face-to-face and distance learning programs. The two heads of these schools remain fully involved in the development of their institutions.

Acquisition of a school dedicated to animal osteopathy
This prestigious school has been training close to 300 students for nearly 30 years and offers unique access to more than 900 animals. This strategic acquisition allows the Edukea group to become one of the largest European schools of animal osteopathy with a presence in France, the UK, Spain and Belgium.

Acquisition of a school dedicated to naturopathy
This institute, a founding member of the FENA (French National Federation of Naturopathy), trains nearly 520 students and is present in the 5 largest cities in France. This acquisition will enable the Edukea group to strengthen its leadership in naturopathy training and initiate the European development of this practice. Edukea becomes a 40% shareholder of this school and will reach 100% by 2025, according to a defined plan.

Christophe Caporossi, CEO of Edukea group, comments: “These two strategic acquisitions represent a natural evolution for the Edukea group, whose purpose is clear: to bring together the best training institutions in complementary and alternative medecine.”

Fabrice Voituron, Managing Partner & Dorothée Chatain, Partner at 21 Invest France say: “With these two acquisitions, Edukea is accelerating its online platform strategy in line with our investment thesis. The group is strengthening two of its three historical pillars, the attractiveness of which is demonstrated year after year and confirms its ambitions for European development. Other acquisition opportunities are being explored. ”
