Aussafer, a leading Italian player in sheet metal working with a focus on precision laser cutting services and backed by 21 Invest since December 2020, has acquired Laserjet, a company operating in the same sector, closing its 2nd build-up after the acquisition of Ramo in October 2021.

Aussafer, a leading Italian player in sheet metal working with a focus on precision laser cutting services and backed by 21 Invest since December 2020, has acquired Laserjet, a company operating in the same sector, closing its 2nd build-up after the acquisition of Ramo in October 2021.

Laserjet is an established company active for over 40 years in the steel processing market. The company, based in Vicenza, in the North of Italy, boasts a specific know-how on complex welding procedures, through the use of innovative and high-tech machinery.

Laserjet is Aussafer’s 2nd acquisition, following that of Ramo, a company specializing in cold forming and laser cutting in 2021, and will allow the company to further integrate its laser cutting services. This build-up is complementary, and will allow significant cross-selling opportunities and the possibility to diversify into strategic sectors where Laserjet operates, such as the agricultural, forestry and green maintenance machinery market and in the aerial and lifting platforms sector.

This operation is a milestone for the sector in Italy, representing the consolidation of two pioneering families in the sector under 21 Invest’s leadership and resulting in the creation of the largest group in Italy in sheet metal working and a reference player at the European level in terms of size, range of services and technology, with an expected turnover of €M 100 million in 2022 and 400 employees.

Alessandro Benetton, Founding Managing Partner of 21 Invest, comments: "This new acquisition is a significant achievement in Aussafer’s growth path , as well as a decisive step towards the goal of creating the European leader in high-tech steel processing."

Giacomo Citossi, CEO of Aussafer, comments "The synergy created thanks to this acquisition strengthens and increases the national and international leadership of Aussafer, with more than 20 active laser cutting systems and the introduction of a new one in tube cutting, but above all it represents the union of three industrial companies with incredible know-how and a strong positioning in Europe".
